L'ARA (Autour des Rythmes Actuels) is a non-profit organization based in Roubaix, North of France. L'ARA has been working on practice and development of popular music (from hip-hop to jazz and from punk to electronic) since 1988.
L'ARA aims at:
- promoting the discovery of popular music and its environment
- giving everyone the possibility to practice music, experiment and realize musical projects
Through a non-formal training based on meeting, sharing and exchange, ARA develops its projects linked to popular music, and also through meetings, exchanges, debates and collective construction.
