The editorial department of ROOTS & ROUTES TV's branch in Duisburg is located in a old air raid shelter located right in the heart of Duisburg-Bruckhausen, a part of Duisburg which in the past has been the scenery for lots of famous film- & tv-productions like "Schimanski" and "Solino", but also for
documentaries like ,,Rauliens Revier"., a TV-documentation about a local now well known police man. What we all have in common is the fact that we want to report about
important themes. The office romms of bunker-manager Michael Fröhling
are the place were we all come
together to discuss about our ideas.
The north of our hometown, Duisburg, has still some kind of bad
reputation. Duisburg is a city built on coal & steel, and so it has
been a dirty and dusty place for decades. But times have changed, and now, Duisburg is a place of multifaceted culture. We want people from outside to learn about the ,,new"
Duisburg, about all the interesting people who live in our city, all the
people who want to get a chance to present themselves, to tell their own
