"A film that you got to watch four times a least!"
At the Roots&Routes Peer Coach Summer Academy Germany 2009 (July 6th to 18th, 2009 in Heek) media coach Heiko Walter informed the media workshop about the contest „SoundBilder“ by public broadcaster WDR. The task was to make a film to a Soundtrack. The Media Team (Thomas Bernecker, Jasmin Imperto, Markus Kauert und Stefphane Ragnit) got together 12 Summer Academy participants - singers, dancers and producers - and all together developed the idea of a split screen movie about the simple melody, that, in the right hands, might inspire everybody. The movie, edited by media participant Thomas Bernecker, convinced the jury and was awarded on Sunday, September 6th 2009, with the 3rd prize. In the big WDR studio hall, the film was presented with the WDR symphonic orchestra playing the soundtrack live.
The ROOTS&ROUTES Peer Coach Summer Academy Heek 2009 is a part of the jfc Medienzentrum project ROOTS&ROUTES Peer Coaches funded by the AKTION MENSCH and - in the framework of the international project The ROOTS&ROUTES Academy - by the EU programme LEONARDO.
